About Hamed Amiri
I’m an author, speaker and technology leader.
My work is shaped by my family’s journey from Afghanistan to the UK, and the experiences that followed.
When I was a child, my family were forced to leave our home after my mother spoke out for women’s rights.
What followed was a journey shaped by uncertainty, resilience and the hope of finding safety.
Years later, that journey became my first book, The Boy With Two Hearts, now adapted for the stage and performed at the Wales Millennium Centre and the National Theatre.
That story didn’t end there.
It opened the door to conversations with audiences across schools, organisations and events, exploring identity, resilience and what it means to belong.
Today, I speak to organisations, conferences and education settings, sharing real experiences that connect and stay with people.
Alongside this, I work in technology and transformation, bringing a perspective on leadership, change and decision-making under pressure.
I’m also a father, and that continues to shape how I think about responsibility, legacy and the stories we pass on.
